Florence, October 20, 2025 – There will be the “Angels of Beauty,” the long-time volunteers and those who have just begun working on the project, the working groups that have now become groups of friends, supporting companies and institutions. The community of Angeli del Bello will gather from all over Italy tomorrow, October 21st, at 10am in the Salone de' Cinquecento of Palazzo Vecchio, in Florence, to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Foundation Angeli del Bello, born in the Tuscan capital in 2010 and then spread to other municipalities throughout the country.
“We are a widespread community that demonstrates how beauty is not a passive inheritance, but a daily commitment that unites citizens, institutions and businesses,” comments Giorgio Moretti, president of the Foundation. “The Angeli del Bello They were born in Florence, have grown in number and activity, and have spread throughout Italy, demonstrating that beauty and civic spirit are a great asset of this wonderful country. With this anniversary, we want to celebrate some fundamental values: civic duty, respect for places, and the pleasure of sharing time with so many people. A small community that, without asking for anything in return, generously commits to caring for the territory, offering concrete gestures for the benefit of all.

In Florence, 350 volunteers are active each week, engaged in micro-cleaning, minor green maintenance, urban decor, and community activities. There are 4000 registered volunteers, organized into 35 groups. In other cities (Ascoli Piceno, Bagno a Ripoli, Bari, Borgo San Lorenzo, Empoli, Impruneta, Jesi, Milan, Montecatini Terme, Naples, Pistoia, Prato, Pontassieve, Scarperia San Piero a Sieve, San Giovanni Valdarno, Scandicci, and Verona), the active volunteers range from twenty to a hundred. The Angels also collaborate with residents, foreign universities, schools, associations, and local businesses.
As evidence of these virtuous collaborations, students from some classes of the Petrarca and Nencioni primary schools will also be present at the Florentine event on October 21st, entitled "The Beauty of Making." They will arrive at Palazzo Vecchio on foot, with the help of the Angels.
During the morning, hosted by Nicola Santini, actress Maria Cassi will perform, and awards will be given to the various groups.
The Foundation Angeli del Bello of Florence was founded in 2010 to promote and coordinate volunteer projects and actions aimed at promoting decorum and civic spirit in the city. It aims to pursue exclusively goals of collective interest and social solidarity, operating in the field of environmental protection, through actions aimed at reducing degradation and increasing citizens' civic sense, in order to improve the quality and decorum of urban life.
