The project

A bridge between citizens, visitors and city users

They are intermediaries committed to promoting hospitality but also respect and protection of
city ​​and its heritage.

The project was born from the collaboration between the Foundation Angeli del Bello and CR Firenze Foundation 

The project develops along two main axes

  • Protection of heritage and promotion of respect, to encourage a conscious use of the places in the historic center and promote the welcoming of tourists, encouraging respect and care for the city.

  • Path of civic and social engagement aimed at volunteers, students, pensioners and, in the future, migrants, vulnerable people at the end of the integration process or people engaged in public utility work, transforming them into Ambassadors.

The project aims to raise awareness among citizens, tourists, city users, and visitors of the importance of experiencing Florence, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in a conscious and respectful way.

Taking up the positive experiences of Florence for Good e #EnjoyRespectFirenzeThe initiative will involve people who are sensitive to the proposed issues and who can become Ambassadors of Florence. Trained and present at strategic points throughout the city, they will distribute informational materials and eco-sustainable gadgets to promote healthy behavior.

The project, promoted by the CR Firenze Foundation and the Foundation Angeli del Bello, aims to create a network of awareness among residents and visitors, strengthening the bond with the city through intercultural dialogue and shared responsibility.
The goal is to foster lasting cultural change: from simply informing to actively engaging, for respectful and sustainable tourism that benefits communities.

The historic center of Florence is alive and fragile, and must be preserved together.

    Florence for Good Project 2014

    The Ambassadors, equipped with a bib and identification badge, will be organized in 5 teams, consisting of two people each.

    Each team will operate in half-day shifts, presiding over:

    • main arrival hubs for visitors and city users (stations, airport, park and ride facilities)

    • symbolic and representative places of the city.

    Their main tasks will be:

    • inform about the good behavior practices and respect for places

    • support visitors and citizens in case of necessity
