District 5 – San Donato Park

Call for Admissions (in Italian) Cultural participation in the suburbs promoted by the CR Firenze Foundation

The project Sowing ideas. Learn how to design, create and care for a garden of spontaneous plants, It was born as a “learning by doing” experience in a wild garden.

The cultural association L'Erba Canta developed the idea with the support of the Foundation Angeli del Bello.

More and more "small urban wildlife gardens" are being planted around the world to support biodiversity in ecosystems. In San Donato Park, two "educational" flowerbeds of wild plants have been created with the participation of residents and members of L'Erba Canta and the Foundation. Angeli del Bello.

The inauguration of the project will take place on WEDNESDAY 23 APRIL at 14,30 pm in the San Donato Park (near the dog area)

You're all invited!

On this occasion we will share the theoretical basis of the spontaneous garden and our practical experience by presenting the botanical choice and the characteristics of the wild flowers that have been planted and sown.

We look forward to seeing you there!

L'Erba Canta, cultural and social promotion association, is dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the environment. It offers EXPERIENCES in NATURE: one or more day treks, walks in the city and excursions in the territories bordering urban areas, to rediscover the beauty, history and stories of many places, including those close to home. It promotes the protection of biodiversity, inviting the discovery and acceptance of the plant and animal populations that inhabit our territories. It supports the daily care of natural and anthropized habitats because every space is a common good with its own aesthetic and ecological potential. It takes care of small GREEN SPACES: vegetable gardens, gardens, uncultivated land, terraces and balconies. It organizes workshops, sensory experiences, meetings to weave an authentic relationship with Nature, to recover ancient practices and knowledge, to learn the ART of SELF-PRODUCTION. The self-production initiatives take place in the summer in the Basciano Garden in Fiesole (Fi).
